Madison starts 1st grade

Madison began 1st grade today.  She is most excited to be able to eat in the cafeteria  I did convince her to let me make her lunch at least.  She has several friends in her class, and her teacher seems nice.  It's hard to believe that she is in 1st grade, time just goes so quickly!

She made sure to give her siblings hugs goodbye.  The last week or so she has been a little bit clingy.  I think she has been nervous.

Anytime she sees Presley she has gone up to her and given her a hug and a kiss.  She is so sad that she will be at school and won't be able to see her as much.  She has told me that she wants to make sure she gets as much time in with her as she can before school starts.

She even let me snap a few pictures when we got to school.  I'm anticipating this not being quite so easy in future years.  She's still not embarrassed by my hugging her and kissing her goodbye.  I can say I will miss this when she gets older and she realizes it's not cool to do.

It scares me that she looks 16 in this picture.  The thought of THAT terrifies me.

I'm so excited for all that this year will bring.
